Regulations and Ordinances
Columbia Beach is a
strictly PRIVATE community open only to Columbia Beach residents,
property owners, and their guests.

The speed limit is 15
miles per hour or as otherwise posted. ALL TRAFFIC SIGNS MUST BE OBEYED.
- UNLICENSED
MOTOR BIKES AND SCOOTERS ARE PROHIBITED!
- All vehicles must park so as not to impede access on side roads or to
block driveways to private property.
- A person may not, at any time, use, operate, or permit the use or
operation of a radio, tape player, disc player, boom box, phonograph, or
similar sound device at an unreasonably loud volume in a residential
district. (AA County Code, Art. 11, Title 5 - 105, C1).
- Dogs must not be curbed on private property and must be on a leash at all
times with a capable attendant. Owners must clean up after their pets. Dogs
(including pit bulls and other attack dogs) are not allowed on the beaches
or in the water at any time.
- Drinking beer and other alcoholic beverages must be confined to owner’s
private property.
- Illegal drugs for use or sale are prohibited.
- Changing of clothes for bathing must not be done at the beach areas.
- The trash receptacles, provided by Columbia Beach, must be used for
rubbish. Littering within the beach community is prohibited.
- Parking is restricted on the beachfront. Vehicles are to park in the
designated areas.
- Swimming or wading is not permitted from the boat ramp.
- Diving from piers and
bulkhead and bicycling on the piers are prohibited
- Vulgar and rowdy behavior will not be tolerated throughout the Beach
Community.
- There shall be no serving of meals or acting as host/hostess to
picnicking groups for profit.
- Picnicking on any beachfront or playground area is prohibited except by
special approval of the Association.
- Illegally parked and unauthorized vehicles will be towed at owner's
expense. Parking of vehicles on Columbia Drive and Al Jones Drive is
prohibited.
- Storage of inoperable,
wrecked, partially dismantled or destroyed vehicles on private property is
prohibited. (AA County Code, Article 10-121, C1).
- A boat and vehicle registration/license is required for use of the boat
ramp and public roadways within Columbia Beach.
- Tampering with the gates or
exit controls is an offense that will result in prosecution for violation of
private property.
- No trespassing
on private property. Pedestrians must use the public roadways at
al times.
- Outsiders will
be treated as trespassers and subject to prosecution.
