Pets at the Beach
All residents and guests are required to adhere to the county animal control laws. Dogs are not allowed to be “at-large,” meaning they must be leashed and under the control of a responsible person when not on their owner’s property.
Also, dog owners are reminded that they are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. That means SCOOP THE POOP when your dog soils public areas and private property. Remember that this includes properties on both sides of Columbia Beach Road, including properties bordering on Flag Pond. Not only is this the neighborly thing to do—it’s the law.
Only domestic animals may be kept in the community.
